Privacy Policy

videvago GmbH operates the LiveLink UE MoCap IOS app, which provides the SERVICE.

The Personal Information that we collect are used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

Information Collection and Use

For a better experience while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to your name, phone number, and postal address. The information that we collect will be used to contact or identify you.

Security

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Data Collection and Usage

Our Service is based on the ARFaceTracking and TrueDepth API which is included in Apples ARKit . When the app launches, the front camera and the TrueDepth camera get activated and  real camera images and 3D data (displayed as a white mesh overlay) from your face are captured.
Apple ARKit also evaluates anonymous blendshape values (normalized movement values at defined locations / areas of your face) which can be used for animating any kind of virtual characters.

Real camera images and the 3D mesh are only used inside the app to visualize ARFaceTracking’s results. Neither real camera images nor 3D mesh are exposed / collected / recorded. They are only used inside the app to visualize results and to evaluate blendshape values

At the time you connect successfully to your local LiveLink UDP endpoint (providing the IP of the device where Unreal Engine is running and enabling the connect switch in the apps connect view), only the blendshape values, a random UUID and the current timestamp are transmitted with UDP protocol from the app to the local Unreal Engine’s LiveLink UDP endpoint.

You can stop transmitting blendshape values by disabling the connect switch in the apps connect view.
